Yarmouth Medical Center is a primary care internal medicine practice conveniently located in our newly renovated facility at 21 Aaron’s Way, Unit 2, in West Yarmouth. Our team includes four highly qualified healthcare providers who specialize in internal medicine and are dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Established in 1987, our practice has proudly served the Cape Cod community for over two decades. We are committed to providing advanced primary healthcare in a welcoming, relaxed, and personal environment, where patients feel valued, supported, and confident in their care.
Zouhdi Hajjaj, MD
Zouhdi Hajjaj, MD, earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He joined Yarmouth Medical Center in 2001, where he practices general internal medicine with a strong focus on primary care.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Hajjaj has spent over two decades serving as an attending physician and medical director at several nursing homes across Cape Cod, providing comprehensive care to geriatric and long-term care populations.
Dr. Hajjaj is a member of the New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA), a network of more than 2,000 physicians throughout eastern Massachusetts that collaborates closely with Tufts Medical Center to promote high-quality, coordinated patient care.
JonFranco Barretto, MD
JonFranco Barretto, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned his medical degree from UMass Medical School and completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital. He provides comprehensive primary care and also serves as a per diem hospitalist at Lowell General Hospital, in addition to his role as a Physician Advisor for Tufts Medicine.
Dr. Barretto has a longstanding connection to Cape Cod, having spent his childhood summers in West Yarmouth. He enjoys time at the beach and appreciates all that the Cape has to offer. Outside of medicine, he values quality time with his family, enjoys playing and watching sports, and likes discovering new television shows and movies.
Muhil Kannappan, MBBS, MD
Dr. Muhil Kannappan is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She completed her medical education in India, earning her MBBS from Stanley Medical College, a respected public medical school. Afterward, she pursued her residency in Internal Medicine at UMass Memorial Medical School in Worcester, MA, where she developed a deep understanding of the importance of treating the whole person.
Having worked as a Hospitalist at Lowell General Hospital, she has had the privilege of caring for many patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, she’s furthering her education with a fellowship in Contemplative Medicine, a field that focuses on re-humanizing the patient-care experience. This fellowship emphasizes bringing more tenderness, openness, and compassion to patient care—an approach she's truly passionate about.
Along with her medical expertise, she believes in the power of mindfulness and meditation to promote well-being. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Korean dramas. She looks forward to meeting you and learning the unique story behind each of her patients, as she truly believes in building meaningful relationships and understanding the human experience beyond just symptoms and diagnoses.

Magali G. Calle, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Magali Calle, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Salve Regina University in 2024. With over a decade of dedicated nursing experience, Magali has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term care, and rehabilitation. Since 2019, she has focused her practice at Cape Cod Hospital, where she has honed her skills in caring for orthopedic and neurosurgery patients, as well as in medical-surgical and cardiology fields. She is proficient in patient education, symptom assessment, and has a strong understanding of various health conditions. Magali is committed to delivering evidence-based care to the diverse patient population of the Cape. Her holistic approach emphasizes the overall wellness of the body, with a particular focus on family and community connections as essential components of healing and preventative care.
Having lived on the Cape for over twenty years, Magali enjoys spending her free time with her family, taking sunset walks on the beach, gardening, and exploring the multicultural richness of the area. She is fluent in Spanish and has deep roots in her Ecuadorian heritage.
As she transitions into her new role as a nurse practitioner, Magali is enthusiastic about serving her community and fostering meaningful connections with her patients.
Magali speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. She is currently accepting new patients.
Samantha Miller, AAS, BBA
Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist
Samantha brings ten years of diverse healthcare experience, having served in both hospital and outpatient settings in clinical and administrative capacities. A highly motivated and detail-oriented professional, she is deeply passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Samantha earned her associate degree in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management in 2023. Her early experiences caring for underserved populations inspired her commitment to creating safe, supportive environments for the delivery of high-quality care.
Felix Rodriguez-Cano, CSFA, MBA
Practice Manager of Operations, Yarmouth Medical Center
Felix Rodriguez-Cano is an accomplished healthcare operations leader with over a decade of experience in medical practice management, surgical assisting, and business administration. As the Practice Manager at Yarmouth Medical Center, Felix is dedicated to optimizing daily operations, improving patient care, and driving financial growth through strategic planning and process improvements.
With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a background in healthcare administration, Felix has successfully led multi-specialty medical practices, overseeing everything from revenue cycle management to staff development. His expertise includes implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), negotiating contracts with major healthcare providers, and enhancing clinical efficiency through technology-driven solutions.
Prior to joining Yarmouth Medical Center, Felix held leadership roles at various healthcare organizations, including Bakersfield Angiography & Interventions and United Vein & Vascular Centers, where he managed single-million-dollar budgets, streamlined operational workflows, and improved patient outcomes. His hands-on approach, combined with his background as a Certified Surgical First Assistant, allows him to bridge the gap between clinical and administrative functions seamlessly.
Felix is a results-driven leader known for his strong problem-solving skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to cultivate high-performing teams. Passionate about patient-centered care, he continues to drive innovation and excellence in medical practice management.
